南丁格爾小時候就有一顆善良的心。每當她看到動物受傷，一定會把牠們抱在懷裡，細心的呵護，有時候還會異想天開想治好她們。因為南丁格爾的愛心，常常會使她產生這股不由自主的衝動，即使她對醫療實在是一竅不通。因為當時的社會裡，大家都認為護士的地位很卑賤，只要地方上稍有名氣的人，沒有不鄙視這份工作的，更別提鼓勵自己的寶貝女兒去當護士。
照理來說，一位出身豪門世家的人，理所當然應該是有名的政治家、商人，與利益相關的職業，不過這名飽讀詩書，精通各國語言的千金小姐佛羅倫斯‧南丁格爾，不但沒有養成嬌生慣養的性格，反而喜歡幫助窮苦的人，而當有人生病時，她也不求回報的照顧治療，後來她跌破了父母和世俗的眼鏡，竟然選擇了護士當作終生職業，還自動自發，到戰場上替軍人們治療，還想盡各種方法替他們籌備生活用品和食物，這種不求回報的精神真是令人感動呀！
她的一生，歷經了整個維多利亞女王時代，對開創護理事業做出了超人的貢獻。她一生致力於護理的改革還有發展，這一切，使她成為十九世紀最出類拔萃、最為世人敬仰和讚頌的偉大女性。
南丁格爾逝世後，遵照她的遺囑，未舉行國葬。後人讚譽她為傷員的天使和提燈女士。
為了紀念她的成就，一九一二年，國際護士會決定訂各國醫院和護士學校，每年的五月十二日為南丁格爾誕辰日，行紀念活動，稱為國際護士節，以緬懷和紀念這位偉大的女性。
南丁格爾一生奉獻於醫療，致力改革，使得原來讓人忽略的醫療受到重視，並且出版過許多護理方面的鉅著，為後世的護理知識奠定了良好的基礎。南丁格爾的成就是用無數的耐力和愛心所換來的，她留給後人無限的緬懷與追思，她的精神值得我們去努力學習。

嚴復的體育思想

內容摘要:
嚴復的體育思想，基於甲午戰敗的危機意識，加以受到達爾文的進化論和斯賓塞的社會達爾文主義的薰陶，形成了嚴復體育思想的主要淵源。
嚴復體育思想的特質，乃建立於「國富民強」的目的之上，主張「體育救國」，期能達「自強保種」的目標，這種「自強保種」的思想，含有「強種強國論」、「強化體質論」和「優生保健論」三個層面。
嚴復的體育思想，爲中國近代體育思想的先驅，形成清末民初軍國民敎育體育思想的重要淵源，激發了體育意識的抬頭，使體育得以納入學校敎育的一環；也因此，使體育淪爲工具化傾向，造成體育人本化的本質，受到發展上的限制。
Yan,fu's physical education ideology was based on the crisis consciousness toward the failure of the battle between Japan & China(1895), and being effected byC. Darwin's (1809-1882). Eugenics theory & H.Spencer's (1820-1903). Social Darwinism, which forms the main origion of Yan,fu's physical education ideology.
The special quality of Yan,fu's physical education ideology was based on the goal ”To make one's country rich & build up its military power”,& advocates ”To save the country through physical education”, and to achieve the expected goal of ”self-improvement & eugenics”. The ideology of ”Self-improvement & eugenics” has consisted of three levels; ”Theory of Healthy Race & Powerful Nation”, ”Theory of Strengthening Physique”, & ”Theory of Eugenics”.
Yan,fu's physical education ideology is the pioneer in Recent China, and also forms the important origion of military and civil physical education ideology in late Chin Dynasty & early Democratic period; which also arises physical education consciousness, and enables physical education being set as formal class of school education system; & therefore, physical education was gradually regarded as a ”tool”, and resulted in limited development of the essence of physical education humanism.

E. institutes and universities can satisfy the needs of professionalism, marketism and industrialism of sports as well as creating more opportunities for students and laying solid financial basis for the development of school. The paper introduces the development goals, standards models and course arrangement of the sports tourism specialized subject.

吳蘊瑞(1892-1976)為台海兩岸同受尊崇的體育學者，尤其是他在掌理南京中央大學體育系期問所傳播的體育思想，值得深入研析與定位。乃蒐集他的相關文獻，經解讀、闡釋及歸納，獲致以下結論：
一、他的體育專業素養，在國內求學、教學期問，以閉發體育教村與教法見長。留美歸國後，喜於運用科學與哲學的方法解決體育的問題。
二、他的體育思想淵源於麥克樂、威廉士二位美籍自然主義體育．吧想學者，並勇於批判中西哲學，據以凝聚出他的體育．巴想。
三、他的體育思想的特質有三：體育普及化優於競技化、洋體育土體育相容不 I 陰、體育為軍事教育之基礎。
四、他的履育思想具體反應在國家的體育政策，含運動場館、體育師資、國際賽會及國防體育等方面之建言。
Wu, Wen Jui (1892-1976), a scholar in physical education, was respected by people across the Taiwan Strait. The thoughts on physical education that he had) bmmurncated while he was in charge of the Physical Education Department of anking Central University are especially worth exploring and labeling (evaluating).

2. When he was studying and teaching in the motherland, he specialized in developing materials and methods of physical education teaching. After his advanced study in America, he became good at solving problems in physical education in scientific and philosophical ways.
His thoughts on physical education were influenced by two American naturalists, C.H. McCloy and J.F. Williams. He criticized daringly both Chinese and western philosophies, which caused the formation of his thoughts on physical education.
3. There are three special features about his thoughts. First, physical education should be generalized rather than competitive. Second, western physical education and native physical education walked side by side. Third, physical education was the foundation of military education.
4. His thoughts on physical education were specifically related to the national physical education policy. Suggestions on planning, sports facilities, faculty members, competitions, and national defense had been made.
